Clarity Ear Candles

Ear Candling can be traced back to ancient times when the Greeks and Egyptians candled as a remedy to improve clarity and focus. Ear Candling was also practiced in cultures as diverse as the Tibetan monks and ancient Mayans; the indigenous peoples of parts of Mexico and Central America. Ear Candling is a modern innovation of the simple technique used in those times, when this effective relaxation ritual was called "coning" - when cone shaped instruments made from pottery clay were used. Today, Ear Candling is performed around the world - used to cleanse the spiritual body and give clarity to the mind. Clarity Ear Candles are made of unbleached muslin (immersed in an aromatic herbal solution, and then dried) and shaped into a cone and dipped in beeswax/soy blend. They are approximately 25cm long. The ear candle operates through osmosis and/or convection. This is where one chamber (ear candle) is attached to another chamber (ear canal). The ear candle is trying to equalise pressure to the ear canal. Since the body is a membrane of tissue with many pores, nooks and crannies, the ear cone will never equalise pressure. Therefore, the ear candle will continually keep working at equalising pressure. In turn, the transfer of heat and vapours of warm smoke from the candle travel down into the ear canal, warming up the pores. The fire from the burning candle creates an atmospheric vacuum which works on dislodging debris.
