It seems I was born drawing. It always came naturally to me. From a very early age my grandmother would take me on painting trips. As a child my drawings and photographs were published in local media, and when I was only ten I was awarded second place in the international art competition, The Young World Art Awards. I am Mum to a timid British Blue and a not so timid 7 year old daughter! I have great respect for my subjects and I see in pets and children a beautiful vulnerability and sincerity which I am continually seeking to capture in my portraits. And this is why I can promise to produce for you the very best portrait possible, one that you feel you really look into, not just look at. My paintings are for everyone – from pet breeders to TV personalities and anyone who wants to see the ones they love captured on canvas. Seeing a client’s reaction when they view their portrait for the first time is an immense pleasure and is one of the reasons I absolutely love being a portrait artist.
